My research interest relates to social and environmental justice, with a special focus on environmental issues facing China today. I have been working with critical perspectives offered by Marxist, feminist and power theories. To be specific, I am deeply interested in Marxist and critical geography, in theories associated with the production of space initiated by Henri Lefebvre and his successors, including David Harvey and Edward Soja, and I try to use such critical perspectives to analyze social and environmental justice. Additionally, I always keep sensitive to feminist issues, and feminist geography apparently has a great influence on me, which provides me with unique perspectives when dealing with issues like how environmental problems affect women particularly.
